Replit Agent costs $0 on Starter, $20 a month on Core and $100 a month on Pro, and each paid plan includes the same amount in usage credits. Agent work is priced per completed task by effort, hosting draws from the same credits, and anything past the included amount is pay as you go. Annual billing saves up to 10%.

What the limits mean

Included usage. The plan fee returns as credits for Agent work and publishing. Core's $20 fee means $20 of usage; you only pay extra after that.

Effort based checkpoints. One checkpoint per request, priced by the effort the work took. Replit removed intermediate checkpoints to reduce billing noise, so a complex feature is one charge. No dollar examples are published.

Modes. Free Mode is included usage on Core and Pro that resets every five hours. Power costs more for stronger results. Max uses frontier models for demanding work at the highest rate.

Parallel agents. Core runs one background task at a time. Pro runs up to 10.

Starter limits. Lite build only, no Plan mode, no third party connectors, no Replit AI integrations, one published app that goes down after 30 days, and the Replit badge on published apps.

Rollover. Replit's AI billing docs say Pro's tiered credits roll over for two months; its publishing docs say unused monthly credits do not carry over. Plan as if Core credits reset each month.

Hosting costs

Deployment type Price Best for
Static Hosting free, $0.05 per GB transfer Marketing sites and front end only apps
Autoscale $2 a month base, $0.60 per million compute units, $0.40 per million requests Apps with uneven traffic; costs nothing when idle
Scheduled $2 a month base, $0.60 per million compute units Background jobs and cron tasks
Reserved VM $15 shared (0.5 vCPU, 2GB), $35, $50 or $130 dedicated Always on bots, APIs and websockets

Compute units: 1 CPU second is 18 units and 1 GB second of memory is 2 units. Monthly credits pay these first.

Hidden costs

  • Fix loops. Every completed attempt is a checkpoint. If the agent fails and retries, each try costs. Trustpilot reviewers name this as the top drain.
  • Max mode. Frontier models cost more per task. Use Free Mode or Power for routine edits.
  • Always on hosting. A $15 Reserved VM eats three quarters of Core's included credit before you build anything.
  • Pay as you go after credits. There is no hard stop by default; set a budget limit.
  • Collaborators. Core has no team seats listed; adding people means Pro at $100 or Enterprise.

Worked examples

Side project on Core. A small web app on autoscale with light traffic uses the $2 base plus a little compute. That leaves about $17 for Agent work, plus Free Mode time. Total: $20 if you stay inside credits.

Always on Discord or Slack bot. Reserved VM shared at $15 leaves $5 of Core credit for building. If you plan to keep building, Pro's $100 leaves $85 after the VM.

Small team MVP. Three people on Pro at $100 a month (or $90 annually) get $100 of usage, 10 parallel agents and room for 15 collaborators. On a per seat builder such as v0 Plus, three users cost $90 with $90 of credits but no shared hosting.

Annual savings. Core annual is $216 a year versus $240 monthly. Pro annual is $1,080 versus $1,200.

How it compares

Builder Entry paid plan What the fee buys Billing unit
Replit Agent $20 $20 of usage Effort per completed task
Lovable $25 100 credits plus 5 a day Credits per message
Bolt.new $25 10M tokens Tokens, growing with project size
v0 $30 per user $30 of credits Tokens by model

Prices as listed in October 2026; see the AI Price Index. Replit has the cheapest entry plan and the only fee that converts one to one into usage, but the least published per task pricing. Read the full Replit Agent review, compare Replit Agent vs Lovable or see Replit Agent alternatives.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Replit cost per month?

Starter is free. Core is $20 a month or $18 a month billed annually, and includes $20 of usage credits. Pro is $100 a month or $90 annually, with $100 of usage credits. Enterprise is custom. Past your included credits, usage is pay as you go.

How does Replit effort based pricing work?

Each request you give Agent ends in one checkpoint when the work is done, and that checkpoint is priced by how much effort the task took. A small fix costs less than a new feature. Replit does not publish per checkpoint prices, so watch the usage icon in the Agent tab and the Usage Dashboard.

Is Replit Core worth $20?

If you will use the agent or host an app at all, yes, because the $20 comes back as $20 of usage credits plus Free Mode time that resets every five hours. The value disappears if a busy month pushes you into pay as you go, so set a budget limit.

What does Replit Pro add?

Pro at $100 adds $100 of usage credits, 10 parallel agents instead of one, up to 15 collaborators and 50 viewers, database rollback up to 28 days and premium support. Replit's billing docs say Pro credits roll over for two months.

How much does it cost to host an app on Replit?

Static sites host free with data transfer at $0.05 per GB. Autoscale apps cost a $2 monthly base plus $0.60 per million compute units and $0.40 per million requests. Reserved VMs cost $15 a month shared, or $35, $50 and $130 for dedicated sizes. All of it draws from your monthly credits first.

How do I stop Replit from overcharging me?

Set usage alerts and a budget limit in settings, use Plan mode before large changes, and roll back to a checkpoint when the agent fails twice on the same bug instead of asking it to keep trying.
