The short answer

Both companies sell an AI sales development rep with humans behind it. Both are quote only on their pricing pages, both list SOC 2 Type II, and both have small Trustpilot samples around 4 stars. The real differences are channels, data and commercial terms.

Pricing

Neither vendor shows prices on its pricing page, so this compares every verifiable data point.

Data point 11x Artisan
Public plan names None Team, Scale, Enterprise
Published volumes None About 2,500 (Team) and 6,000 (Scale) leads contacted a month
Lowest public figure $38,250 a year (Vendr low) "Plans from $250/mo" (Artisan's own comparison page)
Typical figure $65,100 a year (Vendr median) Not available from a public source
Volume example $45,000 a year for about 3,500 new prospects a month (Vendr) Not published
Add ons Not published AI dialer, per seat
Contract One year with a three month break clause (TechCrunch, 2025) Monthly, cancel anytime (comparison page)

On cost per lead, Vendr's 11x Advanced tier works out to about $1.07 per new prospect. Artisan does not publish enough to compute the same figure, so ask for a quote at 2,500 leads a month and divide. Anything above AiSDR's published $1.50 per person prospected is worth pushing back on. Both are covered in detail on 11x pricing and Artisan pricing, and the AI Price Index lists every sales agent's entry price.

Winner on price: Artisan, on the strength of a stated monthly entry point and published plan volumes.

Models and features

Outbound email and social

Both research prospects, write personalized messages, run multichannel sequences and handle replies. Artisan says Ava tests dozens of message variants per campaign and shifts volume to winners. 11x cites a 9.7% reply rate from one customer. Neither publishes independent performance data.

Voice and inbound

11x's Julian answers and places calls, chats with website visitors and qualifies inbound leads, with a claimed speed to lead under 20 minutes. Artisan does not do AI calling at all and says so plainly; reps dial from its parallel dialer and blitz room.

Data

Artisan includes 250M+ verified contacts, 200M+ local businesses and enrichment from 22+ sources. 11x lists a real time company and lead database and live web search, without published counts.

Controls

Artisan publishes the stronger guardrail set: approval before sending, tone and CTA locks, banned phrases, writing coaching, escalation rules and manual takeover. 11x lists deliverability and mailbox health tools but fewer specific controls.

Integrations

11x lists HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, LinkedIn, G2, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar and an API. Artisan lists bi directional Salesforce and HubSpot sync, webhooks and Slack.

Head to head scenarios

Seed stage startup with no SDR

Winner: Artisan. Monthly terms claimed, a database included and a CSM in Slack. An 11x contract at the Vendr low of $38,250 a year is a big bet before you have product market fit in outbound.

Enterprise with slow inbound follow up

Winner: 11x. Julian calls and qualifies inbound leads in minutes. Artisan has no AI voice agent.

Selling to local businesses (clinics, restaurants, trades)

Winner: Artisan. Its 200M+ local business data set is unusual among AI SDRs; 11x focuses on B2B companies.

Multilingual outbound across regions

Winner: 11x. Multilingual outreach is listed on its site along with SMS and WhatsApp, which matter outside the US.

Brand safety and control over what the AI sends

Winner: Artisan. Approval mode, banned phrases, tone locks and escalation rules are documented; start there and loosen as trust grows.

Expansion and cross sell to existing customers

Winner: Artisan. It lists CRM re engagement, cross sell and upsell campaigns. Artisan's own comparison page says 11x targets net new business only.

Privacy

11x lists SOC 2 Type II, audited annually, CASA Tier 3, GDPR and CCPA compliance and a DPA for EU customers, with AES-256 encryption at rest on AWS. Artisan lists SOC 2 Type II, GDPR readiness, SSO and SAML, audit logs and a DPA. Neither security page we reviewed states whether customer data or prospect replies train its models; put that in the contract.

On trust more broadly, 11x carries the March 2025 TechCrunch investigation, which reported logos used without permission and early churn of 70 to 80% according to former staff, followed by the founder stepping down as CEO in May 2025. Artisan's comparison page cites that coverage, so expect it to come up in sales calls.

Verdict

Artisan wins for most buyers. It publishes plan volumes, claims a monthly entry price, includes a large contact database and documents the best controls in the category. 11x wins for enterprises that need AI voice and inbound agents, many channels and many languages, and that have procurement to negotiate an annual contract with a real break clause.
