Fact checked against each company's published pricing, documentation and verified user ratings. How we score
The Roborock Saros 20 is the best robot vacuum for most homes that want a flagship: 36,000 Pa, 300+ obstacle types, a 212°F dock, 3.46 inch threshold climbing and Matter support, all in a 3.14 inch body. It uses spinning pads, so pick a roller mop rival if hard floor mopping is your top priority.

The Saros 20 has the deepest published spec sheet of any robot here: 36,000 Pa, 300+ recognized obstacle types, 212°F mop washing and Matter support today. The tradeoff is size of the commitment: it is a full flagship dock, and Roborock does not publish a runtime figure.

Key features
Suction
36,000 Pa is the highest suction rating in this guide, just above the 35,000 Pa of the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, eufy Omni E35 and Roomba Max 875. On carpet, more suction plus the anti tangle brush is the combination that matters.
Obstacle avoidance
300+ obstacle types ties the Roomba Max 875 and leads Dreame (280) and eufy (280+). VertiBeam looks sideways as well as forward, and the system detects objects as small as 0.79 inches.
Climbing and clearance
The AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 crosses 3.46 inch double thresholds. With a 3.14 inch body, the Saros 20 is one of only two robots here, with the Dreame X60, that combine low clearance and high climbing.
Mopping
Spinning pads with adjustable 8 to 13 N pressure, auto detach for carpet and a 212°F wash. Roborock cites TUV Rheinland testing that the default self cleaning mode removes over 99.99% of bacteria from the mops. Pads rinse at the dock rather than during the run.
App and Matter
Matter works now rather than by future update, which is a difference from the Saros Z70 and Qrevo Curv 2 Flow. The Hello Rocky voice assistant works offline.

Saros 20 variants
Roborock lists three Saros 20 versions on its US store, and the names are easy to mix up:
- Saros 20. The model reviewed here, with dual spinning mops and the RockDock.
- Saros 20 Sonic. Listed alongside it in the Saros series. We did not open its spec page for this review, so compare its mop system on Roborock's store before you buy.
- Saros 20 Flow. Uses SpiraFlow 2.0, a pressurized self cleaning roller mop. Its Amazon listing title lists the same 36,000 Pa, 3.46 inch double threshold climbing, 300+ obstacle avoidance and 212°F mop washing.
If you mainly mop hard floors, the Flow version is the one to compare against the eufy Omni E35 and Narwal Flow 2.
Setup and upkeep
The robot measures 13.78 by 13.90 by 3.14 inches, and the robot plus dock weigh 35.03 lb together, per Roborock. Give the dock a level spot against a wall with clear floor in front. Fill the clean water tank and detergent tank, run the first mapping pass with interior doors open, then set rooms, no go zones and no mop zones in the app.
Ongoing upkeep:
- After a few runs. Empty the dirty water tank and refill clean water.
- Weekly. Check the main brush and side brush for hair, and wipe the front sensors.
- When prompted. Replace the dust bag (up to 65 days), the filter and the mop pads. The app tracks wear.
- Monthly. Rinse the dock tray. The dock self cleans it with hot water, but a manual rinse keeps odors away.
What users say
The Saros 20 Amazon listing shows 4.2 out of 5 from 4,507 ratings in October 2026, the largest rating base among the flagships in this guide. Amazon ratings are listing level and can include more than one color.
Privacy and security
Roborock's Saros 20 page says it upholds global data privacy standards. Roborock's site lists a vulnerability disclosure policy, a software security support policy and a trust center. Camera features like pet finding are managed in the app.
Who it is for
- Mixed floor homes with pets
- Older homes with tall door sills
- Matter smart homes
- Anyone who wants the most complete spec sheet
Who should skip it
- Hard floor homes that mop daily and want a roller: Narwal Flow 2, eufy Omni E35 or Qrevo Curv 2 Flow
- Cluttered homes that want the floor picked up: Saros Z70
- Budget buyers: see Best Budget Robot Vacuums
Alternatives
- Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete: near identical clearance and climbing, 100 day bag
- Roborock Saros Z70: adds the OmniGrip arm
- iRobot Roomba Max 875 Combo: roller mop and SealForce carpet skirt
- eufy Omni E35: roller mop and up to 180 minutes runtime
Verdict
The Saros 20 is the most complete robot vacuum we track: top suction, top obstacle count, top tier climbing, a hot dock and Matter today. It is our pick for most people who want one flagship robot. Choose a roller mop model only if mopping hard floors matters more to you than everything else.
