Wick is the best security bot on Discord: anti nuke, anti raid join gates, captcha verification and an adaptive automod, all on the free tier, with 4.22 on top.gg from 262 reviews. Premium is $5 a month. It is a guard, not an all in one, so most servers run it next to Dyno, MEE6 or Carl-bot.

Key features

Anti nuke

Wick watches staff members and bots for mass bans and kicks, mass role, channel, webhook and emoji deletions or creations. Anyone going rogue is quarantined, and changes to dangerous permissions on main roles like @everyone are reverted. Panic mode locks the server during rapid mass nukes, and the restore system recovers from attacks using backups or server memory.

Join gate

Instant filters for new members: brand new accounts, no avatar, suspicious accounts, invite links in usernames, bots added by unauthorized staff and unverified bots.

Verification

Captcha, web verification and instant modes, for everyone or only suspicious accounts.

Join raid detection

Detects sudden spikes in joins and flags accounts that arrive during a raid.

Heat automod

An adaptive system that tracks each user's "heat" from message frequency, repeats, mentions, attachments, walls of text, emoji and new line spam, profanity, link blacklists and invites. Link scanning follows shortened URLs to the source and checks for IP grabbers, scams, screamers and malware.

Quarantine and tools

Quarantined members see no channels and have no permissions until staff release them. Lockdown, sanitize, notes, cases, backups and standard moderation commands round it out.

Setup

Wick takes more care than a general bot:

  1. Invite with Administrator, as its invite link requests.
  2. Move Wick's role to the top of the role list. It cannot act on roles above it.
  3. Whitelist trusted admins and bots so normal staff work does not trigger anti nuke.
  4. Turn on join gate filters for new accounts and no avatar accounts first; add the rest if raids continue.
  5. Pick a verification mode and a quarantine role.
  6. Tune heat automod in a test channel before going live.

The docs have a setup section written as how the team would configure it, which is the best place to start.

What users say

4.22 on top.gg from 262 reviews. Reviewers praise how much it catches, especially link scanning and quarantine. Complaints are about false positives before tuning and the complexity of the configuration.

Privacy and security

Wick needs Administrator, which is a lot of trust. That is the nature of anti nuke: it must be able to revert anything. Invite it only from its official site, keep 2FA on your own account, and do not give other bots higher roles than Wick.

top.gg score 4.22 from 262 4.38 from 375 3.14 from 595 4.83 from 218

The table shows why servers stack bots. Dyno, Carl-bot and Sapphire are built for daily moderation and logs. Wick is built for the moment something goes wrong: a hacked admin, a bot that starts deleting channels, or 500 accounts joining in a minute.

Cost for a server network

A community with 12 servers would pay $60 a month for 12 Premium subscriptions, or $20 a month for VIP, which includes 12 premium servers plus dedicated resources and custom branding. For networks, VIP is the obvious buy. For a single server, Premium at $5 is enough unless you need the custom branding.

Who it is for

  • Large public servers that attract raids.
  • Servers with many staff members and bots.
  • Crypto, NFT and giveaway servers that draw scam links.

Who should skip it

  • Small private servers with a few trusted friends.
  • Owners who want one bot for everything: Wick does not do leveling, music or social alerts.

Alternatives

Verdict

If your server is public and big enough to be a target, add Wick. The free tier covers anti nuke and raids well, $5 Premium adds smarter backups and lockdowns, and VIP is a bargain for networks. Pair it with Dyno or Sapphire for daily moderation.

Frequently asked questions

What does Wick do?

Wick is a security, moderation and utility bot that protects servers against raiders, spammers, rogue or compromised admins and malicious webhooks. Its core systems are anti nuke, the heat based auto moderator, verification, join gate and join raid detection.

Is Wick free?

Yes. Wick's anti nuke, join gate, verification, heat automod and quarantine work on the free tier. Premium at $5 a month adds advanced versions of anti raid, anti nuke, automod, quarantine and lockdown, smart backups, customizable verification and higher rate limits.

How much is Wick Premium?

Premium is $5 a month. VIP is $20 a month and adds dedicated resources, custom branding, lower latency and 12 premium servers, per its plans page in October 2026.

What is anti nuke on Discord?

A nuke is when a rogue or hacked admin, or a bot, mass deletes channels and roles or mass bans members. Wick watches staff and bots for mass bans, kicks, role and channel deletions or creations, webhook and emoji changes, quarantines the account and can restore from backups.

Does Wick need Administrator?

Wick's invite link requests the Administrator permission, which it uses to watch and revert changes. Place Wick's role at the top of your role list so it can act on rogue staff.

Wick or Dyno for moderation?

Use both. Dyno handles everyday moderation, automod, tickets and roles. Wick adds anti nuke, join gates and raid detection that Dyno does not focus on. See our [best Discord moderation bots](/best-discord-moderation-bots).

What is Wick panic mode?

If many raid like accounts trigger Wick's automod at once, panic mode locks down the server and hunts down raid accounts sending messages. During rapid mass nukes it also deploys a separate backup retriever, per Wick's docs.

Can Wick restore a nuked server?

Wick's restore system recovers from attacks using regular backups or server memory, per its features page. Premium adds smart backups.
