MEE6 Review 2026: Pricing, Features and Verdict

What it is

MEE6 is a multi purpose Discord bot run by Sidescroll Ventures SAS, a French company, with a copyright line going back to 2018. You add it to a server, log in to the web dashboard with Discord and switch on plugins. Nothing needs a command to configure.

The plugin catalog groups into five areas on its site:

• Moderation and server management: welcome plugin, custom commands, reaction roles, the Moderator plugin, automations, invite tracker and ticketing.
• Utilities: embeds, search anything, timers, statistics counters, temporary channels and polls.
• Social alerts: Twitch, X, YouTube, RSS, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, Kick and podcasts.
• Games and fun: levels and XP, birthdays, giveaways, music quiz, economy, achievements and starboard.
• Bot Maker and Bot Personalizer: an AI tool to build your own commands and games, and an add on that changes the bot's avatar, name and status.

Its top.gg listing calls it "The #1 Discord bot", and its install numbers back up the size claim, but its top.gg page does not show a review score, so there is no public rating to compare with Dyno's 4.38 or Arcane's 4.67.

Pricing explained

Plan	List price	October 2026 promo	Notes

Prices are from MEE6's premium page on October 19, 2026; MEE6 changed them twice that day, so check before you buy. Each plan covers one server.

A few things matter more than the headline price.

The promo is almost always on. The page runs a countdown and a 50% off banner. Treat $5.99 and $24.99 as first period prices. After that, monthly renews at $11.99 and yearly at $49.99.

Lifetime is the cheapest path past year two. Year one on yearly is $24.99, year two $49.99, total $74.98. Year three takes it to $124.97. Lifetime at $89.99 list (or $44.99 on promo) wins during year three, as long as MEE6 is still running.

Monthly is the worst deal. Twelve months at $11.99 is $167.88, which MEE6 itself shows struck through next to the yearly plan.

The free tier is thin. The plans comparison marks most rows with an X under Free, including moderation, reaction roles, welcome and goodbye messages, invite tracker, polls, every social alert type, birthdays, economy, giveaways, XP and levels and Bot Personalizer. Where numbers are shown, free gets 1 timed message against 100 and no custom embeds on ticket panels against 10. Premium caps are 500 custom commands, 50 automations, 40 reaction roles, 100 temporary channels and 300 economy store items. The help center separately confirms role rewards need Premium.

Compared with rivals, MEE6 is the premium priced option. Dyno Standard is $5.99 a month and Dyno Premium, which adds social alerts, is $7.99. Arcane is $7. Carl-bot is $7.99 for one server. See the Price Index for the full category.

Key features

Dashboard setup

Every plugin is toggled and configured in the browser. This is MEE6's real advantage: a new server owner can have welcome messages, a moderation setup and level roles running in minutes without learning syntax, once Premium is on.

Leveling and XP

Members earn XP for chatting, see a rank card and compete on a leaderboard. MEE6's setup guide says role rewards only work in servers with Premium, free members can change only the rank card text color (background images are Premium), and the give XP command is Premium. The plans table also lists a leaderboard vanity URL and join button as Premium. Leveling is the feature most owners compare, and the one where Arcane's free tier (15 role rewards) is far more generous.

Moderation and automod

The Moderator plugin handles warnings, mutes, kicks and bans, and the top.gg listing describes a customizable auto moderator. For heavy raid protection, pair MEE6 with a security bot like Wick.

Social alerts

MEE6 lists ten alert sources: Twitch, X, YouTube, RSS, Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, Kick and podcasts. That is the widest list among the general bots we compared. Dyno lists five integrations on its Premium plan, Carl-bot lists YouTube and Twitch.

Tickets

Ticketing panels, introduction messages and transcripts of deleted tickets are in the plans table. Custom embeds on panels are Premium only.

Bot Maker and AI

MEE6 sells an AI Bot Maker for building games, commands and automations without code, and a MEE6 AI assistant that its menu says uses ChatGPT and DALL-E. These are newer and not what most servers install MEE6 for.

Member subscriptions

Its top.gg listing describes monthly subscriptions server owners can sell to members in exchange for roles and private channels.

What users say

MEE6's top.gg listing shows 19.5M servers and a vote button, but no star rating or review count, so we could not cite a top.gg score. Reddit threads on paying for MEE6 Premium are blunt; the top answer to one July 2025 "Should I pay for MEE6 Premium?" thread was "Never". The recurring complaints across those threads are price and paywalled basics. The recurring praise is the dashboard and the fact that one bot replaces several.

Privacy and security

MEE6 asks for the permissions its plugins need when you invite it, and its custom bot feature requires you to enable privileged intents, per its own tutorial. It runs a public bug bounty program listed in its site footer. Review the permissions on the invite screen and keep MEE6's role below your admin roles so a compromised bot account cannot touch staff.

Who it is for

• New server owners who want one bot and no commands.
• Streamers and creators who need alerts from many platforms.
• Owners who will keep one server for years and can buy lifetime on promo.

Who should skip it

• Budget owners. Dyno and Sapphire cover moderation for less or for free.
• Leveling focused servers. Arcane gives more free role rewards.
• Anyone who wants a public review score before choosing; MEE6's top.gg page shows none.

Alternatives

• Dyno review: cheaper premium from $4.17 a month on annual billing, free automod and tickets.
• Carl-bot review: 250 free reaction roles and detailed logs.
• Arcane review: leveling with 15 free role rewards.
• Sapphire: every feature free.
• Full list: MEE6 alternatives, and head to heads in MEE6 vs Dyno and MEE6 vs Carl-bot.

Verdict

MEE6 is the right first bot if you value setup speed and want one dashboard for everything, and lifetime on promo ($54.99) makes the price sting less. If you care about cost, Dyno does most of the same work for $5.99 to $7.99 a month, and Sapphire does the moderation side for nothing.
