Jockie Music is the best Discord music bot for most servers in October 2026. It runs up to 4 bots per server for free, each able to play in its own voice channel, from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, radio and more, with 4.63 on top.gg from 304 reviews. The two catches: YouTube is not in its published source list, and 24/7 needs 5 boosts at $5 a month.

Jockie Music is the most installed music bot still running, 10.1M servers on top.gg with 4.63 from 304 reviews, and the only big one that lets you run 4 bots at once for free. Its own FAQ does not list YouTube as a source, so plan on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal or radio links; 24/7 needs 5 boosts ($5 a month on Patreon).

What it is

Jockie Music is a "multi music bot". Instead of one bot that can only sit in one voice channel, you invite up to four identical bots that share the same prefix, settings and commands. A gaming server can have music in the lobby, a raid channel and a study room at the same time. It shows 10.1M servers on its top.gg listing and its site calls it the "1 in 4 Discord bot".

It is run by a developer named Joakim and funded through Patreon.

The YouTube question

Most music bot pages online were written before YouTube enforcement pushed big bots like Groovy and the original Rythm offline and Hydra away from music. Here is what Jockie Music's own FAQ says it supports in October 2026:

  • Spotify: tracks, playlists, albums, artists
  • Tidal: tracks, playlists, albums, artists, mixes
  • Deezer: tracks, playlists, albums, artists
  • Apple Music: tracks, playlists, albums
  • Direct links: MP3, FLAC, WAV, WebM, MP4 and M4A, OGG, AAC and M3U or PLS stream playlists
  • Radio: 20,000+ stations from around the world
  • Vimeo, Bandcamp, Twitch (live and VODs), Newgrounds, Mixcloud

YouTube is not listed. Some third party articles claim Jockie plays YouTube, and some users report links working at times, but we go by the vendor's own list. Paste a Spotify or Apple Music link and it works; plan on that.

Pricing explained

Jockie Music premium is sold as boosts on Patreon. A supporter gets boosts and assigns them to a server.

Tier Monthly Boosts Extra premium bots at full use
Free $0 0 0 (4 standard bots)
Gold Supporter $5 5 1
Platinum Supporter $10 10 3
Emerald Supporter $15 15 5
Emerald+ Supporter $20 20 7
Diamond Supporter $25 25 9
Diamond+ Supporter $30 30 11
Super Fan $100 100 23 (at 60 boosts)

Annual billing saves 5%. What boosts do on a server:

  • 1 boost: all time statistics on the dashboard.
  • 2 boosts: audio filters (pitch, speed, bass boost and more).
  • 5 boosts: 24/7 mode for all 4 bots, plus 1 extra premium bot.

Supporters also get 200 collections instead of 50.

For context, Green-bot's 24/7 starts at $3.75 a month plus VAT and FlaviBot premium at 3.99 euros a month. Jockie's $5 Gold tier is in the same range and adds an extra bot. See the Price Index.

Key features

Multiple bots

Four free bots that work independently, invited from the FAQ or with the invite command. You do not have to add all four.

Collections

Personal playlists of up to 10,000 tracks each, 50 free per person, 200 with premium.

Guess the song

A 20 round game: the bot plays 30 seconds and players guess title (2 points), artist (2) and collaborators (1).

Permissions and DJ roles

Session owners control playback by default. Set permission mode to server and grant a DJ role all permissions to run a moderated music setup.

Options

Command modifiers like --now to skip the queue or --sort=author, combined freely.

Limits

10,000 tracks per queue, no limit on track length. Spotify playlists load 100 tracks per page.

Setup

There is nothing to configure. Invite the bot, join a voice channel and run m!play with a song name or link. Change the prefix with prefix server set, set up a DJ role through the permission commands, and invite more bots with m!invite if you need music in several channels.

What users say

4.63 on top.gg from 304 reviews and 16.1K votes. Praise: multiple bots, sound quality, no paywall on playback. Complaints: missing YouTube and the learning curve of prefix commands and options.

Privacy and security

Jockie Music only needs voice and text permissions. If the bot is missing Send Messages it DMs you, per its FAQ. The FAQ also notes that premium bots stop responding if your boosts lapse, so keep billing current.

Jockie Music vs other music bots

Bot Free bots per server 24/7 on free Cheapest premium top.gg score
Jockie Music 4 No (5 boosts) $5 per month 4.63 from 304
FlaviBot 1 No 3.99 euros per month 4.86 from 1,043
Rythm 1 Yes, listed Price shown after sign in 4.66 from 755
Green-bot 3 instances No (premium per FAQ) $3.75 per month plus VAT 3.99 from 707

Jockie is the only one of the four built around running several bots at once on the free tier. FlaviBot has the better rating and a web player, and Rythm gives away 24/7 with ads. If your server has one voice channel that matters, the multi bot advantage disappears and FlaviBot or Rythm may suit you better.

Common problems and fixes

Jockie's FAQ covers the usual issues. If the bot lags, try another voice channel or change the channel's voice region. If you hear nothing, check that the bot is not server muted, check its volume with the volume command, and run now playing twice to see if the track is moving. If the bot does not respond, mention it with prefix list to see the current prefix, and check it can view the channel. If a premium bot goes quiet, your boosts may have lapsed; the boosts command shows where they are assigned.

Who it is for

  • Large servers with several voice channels.
  • Friends who share Spotify and Apple Music playlists.
  • Quiz nights with guess the song.

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who must play YouTube links.
  • Users who want a polished slash command and web player experience: FlaviBot.
  • Servers that need free 24/7: Rythm lists free 24/7 mode.

Alternatives

Verdict

Jockie Music is the music bot to add first: four free bots, broad source support and a $5 path to 24/7. Just stop expecting YouTube; its own source list does not include it.
