Jasper is the strongest AI writing platform for marketing teams that need every asset on brand. Pro costs $69 per seat monthly or $59 on annual billing and includes 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences and 100+ marketing agents. There is no free plan, and solo writers will get similar drafts from a $20 assistant.

Jasper is built for marketing teams that need on brand content at volume: Brand Voices, Knowledge and Audiences sit under every draft, and the Business plan adds custom agents, Grid and API access. At $69 per seat monthly ($59 annually) with no free plan and only 2 brand voices on Pro, solo writers pay a lot for features they will not use.

What it is
Jasper is an AI platform for marketing content. It is no longer pitched as a simple AI copywriter. Its homepage describes four parts:
- Canvas, the workspace where teams plan and produce campaigns.
- Agents, 100+ prebuilt AI agents for marketing tasks such as SEO, GEO, research, translation, email, social and personalization.
- Studio, a no code builder for custom agents, on Business.
- Grid, a system for running content at scale with repeatable workflows, on Business.
Under all of it sits Jasper IQ: Brand Voice (your tone and style rules), Knowledge (uploaded documents, audio and video your drafts draw on) and Audiences (segments and accounts you write for). Jasper also offers image generation and editing, a browser extension, and Jasper MCP to pass brand context to other AI tools.
Jasper describes itself as model agnostic. It does not name the models it uses, and says it adds new ones as they are released.
Pricing explained
Jasper lists two plans on its pricing page in October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Seats | Brand context |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $69 per seat | $59 per seat per month | 1 included | 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences |
| Business | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Annual billing saves about 14% on Pro: $708 a year against $828. The pricing page frames it as roughly 20%.
What the limits mean. Jasper lists no word cap on either plan, so volume is not the constraint. Brand context is. Two Brand Voices covers one company with a separate voice for, say, social posts. An agency with five clients will hit the limit on day one and has to move to Business. Five Knowledge assets is enough for a style guide, a product sheet and a few case studies.
Hidden costs. Plagiarism checks run through a Copyscape add on with no price on the page. Extra seats are not sold on Pro; the FAQ says you contact sales to customize Business with more seats. The API, SSO, SCIM, custom agents and Grid are Business only.
The trial is 7 days on Pro, and Business trials are available on request. Cancel any time and you are no longer charged, per the FAQ. For cost math and comparisons with rivals, see Jasper pricing.
Key features
Brand Voice, Knowledge and Audiences
This is why teams pay for Jasper. Brand Voice stores tone, style, terminology and messaging and applies them automatically. Knowledge lets you upload source material, including audio and video, so drafts cite your actual products and claims. Audiences tailor copy to a segment or named account. On Pro you get 2, 5 and 3 of each; Business is unlimited.
Marketing agents
Jasper ships 100+ agents for specific jobs: SEO briefs and optimization, GEO (writing for AI answer engines), research, translation, email, social and personalization. Pro covers agents for core marketing workflows; Business adds agents for complex work such as GEO, translation and deep research.
Canvas and the marketing editor
Canvas is where campaigns are planned and assets drafted together, with chat and a long form marketing editor on Pro. It keeps briefs, drafts and approvals in one place rather than scattered across chats.
Studio and Grid (Business)
Studio lets non technical users build and share custom agents without prompt engineering. Grid runs repeatable workflows at scale, such as writing hundreds of product descriptions in one job. Jasper cites a customer case where 7,500 product descriptions were written in 24 hours.
Images
Pro includes image generation and editing. Jasper also markets image pipelines and APIs for cleanup, upscaling and background removal for product imagery.
Languages and integrations
Jasper supports 30+ languages. Integrations named on its site include a browser extension, Google Docs, Webflow and Contentful, plus Jasper MCP. The API is Business only.
What users say
Jasper holds 3.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 4,138 reviews. The distribution is polarized: 87% five star and 5% one star.
Recurring praise: faster content production, an interface that is easy to learn, and better organization for teams. Recurring complaints are concentrated on billing: subscriptions that were hard to cancel, renewals customers did not expect (some above $500), card details kept after cancellation, and email only support with slow replies. Some reviewers also say outputs need heavy editing and read as generic. Trustpilot notes Jasper has not replied to negative reviews.
If you trial Jasper, cancel from the billing page before day 7 if you do not want Pro, and keep the confirmation email.
Privacy and security
Jasper's Trust Center lists SOC 2, PCI, CCPA and GDPR, and its pricing FAQ says it is SOC 2 certified. Both pages state that your company data and outputs are never used to train third party LLMs, and that data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Business adds SSO, SCIM, admin controls, groups and "secure and flexible deployment options." Jasper does not publish data retention periods on these pages, so ask sales if retention matters to your legal team.
Who it is for
- In house marketing teams that publish blogs, emails, ads and social posts every week and need one voice.
- Content leads managing several writers who want brand rules applied automatically instead of in review.
- Enterprises that need SSO, SCIM, governance, an API and custom agents, on Business.
- Ecommerce teams writing large catalogs through Grid.
Who should skip it
- Solo writers and freelancers. $59 to $69 per month is three times Claude Pro or ChatGPT Plus, and Brand Voice matters less when you are the only writer.
- Agencies on Pro. Two Brand Voices will not cover a client roster; budget for Business.
- Budget teams that just want shared chat. Copy.ai's Chat plan is $29 per month for 5 seats with unlimited words.
- SEO writers who need a content score. Surfer grades drafts against search results from $49 per month billed annually.
Alternatives
- Copy.ai: $29 per month for 5 seats with unlimited chat; workflow plans from $1,000 per month.
- Writesonic: AI search tracking plus 15 to 50 articles a month, from $79 per month billed annually.
- Surfer: content scoring, plagiarism and humanizer from $49 per month billed annually.
- Claude: $20 per month, long context for briefs and drafts.

Verdict
Jasper is a good buy for the job it is designed for: a marketing team producing a high volume of content that must sound like one brand. Brand Voice, Knowledge and Audiences under every draft, 100+ agents, no word cap and SOC 2 with a clear no training commitment make it the most complete marketing writing platform here.
For anyone else it is expensive. There is no free plan, Pro is capped at 2 brand voices, extra seats require Business, plagiarism costs extra, and the Trustpilot record on cancellations is weak. Run the 7 day trial on a real campaign, and decide before it ends.

For marketing teams that publish a lot under a defined brand voice, yes. Jasper's value is Brand Voices, Knowledge and Audiences applied to every draft, plus 100+ marketing agents. For a solo writer, $59 to $69 per month buys little that Claude or ChatGPT at $20 cannot do.
