The price list

Tidio sells three products that you can buy alone or together: Customer Service (live chat and helpdesk), Lyro AI Agent and Flows (rule based automation).

Customer Service plans

Plan Monthly Annual (per month) Billable conversations Seats
Free $0 $0 50 10
Starter $29 $24.17 100 10
Growth $59 to $349 From $49.17 250 to 2,000 10
Plus From $300 plus usage Quote Custom Custom
Premium Quote Quote Custom Custom

Growth tiers billed monthly: 250 conversations $59, 400 $89, 600 $129, 800 $159, 1,000 $179, 1,500 $249, 2,000 $349.

Lyro AI Agent quotas (billed monthly)

Lyro conversations a month Price Per conversation
50 $39 $0.78
100 $75 $0.75
150 $110 $0.73
200 $140 $0.70
300 $210 $0.70
500 $350 $0.70
750 $525 $0.70
1,000 $700 $0.70

Every account gets 50 Lyro conversations free once. A paid quota refreshes monthly and unlocks Lyro actions beyond the first and Lyro product recommendations. Premium starts at 3,000 Lyro conversations with a guaranteed 50% resolution rate and pay per resolution billing, quote only.

Flows and add ons

  • Flows: first 100 visitors reached free, then $29 a month for 2,000 up to $299 for 100,000
  • Remove Tidio branding: add on, $16.67 a month on annual billing
  • Annual billing: two months free on every plan

What each limit means in practice

Billable conversations count only when a human on your team replies or starts the chat. If Lyro or a Flow handles the whole conversation, it does not use your Customer Service quota. That is the main reason to add Lyro: every chat it handles alone is one your plan does not pay for.

Lyro conversations count once per conversation with at least one Lyro reply. If Lyro answers and then hands over to a person who replies, you use one Lyro conversation and one billable conversation.

Seats are not the constraint on Free, Starter or Growth: all three include 10. Teams larger than 10 need Plus.

Knowledge and actions. The plan table shows FAQ upload, FAQ and website scraper, Zendesk article import and guidance entries (5 on lower tiers, up to 10 on Growth, more on Plus). The first Lyro action is free; full actions need a paid Lyro quota.

Worked examples

Business Setup Human conversations Lyro conversations Monthly billing Annual billing (per month)
Side project Free 50 50 lifetime $0 $0
Small store Starter + Lyro 100 100 100 $104 about $87
Growing store Growth 400 + Lyro 300 400 300 $299 about $249
Busy store Growth 1,000 + Lyro 1,000 1,000 1,000 $879 about $733

Annual figures apply Tidio's two months free (10 months price over 12) to both products. On the growing store, Lyro's 300 conversations cost $210, $0.70 each. If Lyro fully resolves 200 of them, each resolution costs $1.05, because the 100 handoffs still use your Lyro quota. Tidio says customers average a 75% Lyro resolution rate; your rate depends on your content.

Hidden costs to plan for

  • Two meters. Human and AI conversations are separate quotas. A handed over chat uses both.
  • Unresolved Lyro chats. Lyro bills on replies, not resolutions. A weak knowledge base costs you quota.
  • Branding. The "Powered by Tidio" mark stays unless you buy the add on.
  • Growth tiers. Moving from 1,000 to 1,500 conversations adds $70 a month; size to typical months.
  • Plus jump. Departments, OpenAPI, multiproject and custom seats require Plus at $300 a month plus usage.

How Tidio compares per AI conversation

Product AI unit price Platform fee
Crisp AI credits bundled, about $0.06 per conversation by Crisp's estimate $45 to $295 per workspace
HubSpot Customer Agent $0.50 per resolution Service Hub from $100 per seat
Tidio Lyro $0.70 to $0.78 per conversation Free to $349
Gorgias $0.85 to $1.00 per interaction plus a ticket $10 to $900 by tickets
Intercom Fin $0.99 per outcome Seats from $29, none standalone
Chatbase 1 to 5 message credits per request $40 to $500 per month

Tidio is not the cheapest per AI conversation, but it has the lowest entry point for a full chat plus helpdesk with real seats. Every tracked price is on the AI Price Index.

How to keep the bill down

  • Let Lyro answer first on every channel; each chat it closes alone saves a billable conversation.
  • Use Flows for order tracking and lead capture, which cost far less per visitor than Lyro conversations.
  • Fill your FAQ and guidance before buying a large Lyro quota; resolution rate drives your real cost.
  • Pay annually once your volume is stable to get two months free.

Is Tidio worth the price?

For small online stores and service businesses with up to 10 agents, yes: the free plan is usable, Starter is $29, and Lyro is priced in small steps from $39. Teams with more than 10 agents, heavy email queues or complex routing will outgrow Growth and should compare Tidio alternatives.
