Avoca Review 2026: Pricing, Features and Verdict
The most complete AI front office for HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops, with a certified ServiceTitan app and human backup CSRs. You will not see a price until after a demo.
By , research by the BestBots team · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Fact checked against each company's published pricing, documentation and verified user ratings. How we score
Avoca is the most complete AI front office for established HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies: a certified ServiceTitan app, emergency routing to on call techs, caller history before hello, and a North America based human CSR team for the 15 to 20 percent of calls the AI escalates. The catch is price opacity. Nothing is published, so you buy through a demo and a quote.

The most trade specific option here: a certified ServiceTitan app, emergency keyword routing to on call techs, and a North America based human backup team for the 15 to 20 percent of calls the AI hands off. The tradeoff is price opacity: there is no public price sheet, so it is a demo and quote sale aimed at shops with a real CSR team.

What it is
Avoca builds AI agents for the services economy, starting with home services. Its core product, the AI CSR, answers inbound calls within two rings, replies to texts and chats, books jobs straight into your field service software, and hands off to a person when needed. Around it sits a suite of add ons: Simple Scheduler for online self booking, Web Chat, Speed to Lead (responds to new leads in under 15 seconds), Outbound Campaigns (SMS and call drips), a Google Local Services Ads integration, Coach (call scoring and QA for every call, human or AI) and Analytics.
The company was founded by Tyson Chen and Apurva Shrivastava and announced a $125M total raise at a $1B valuation on April 27, 2026, with Kleiner Perkins, Meritech, General Catalyst, Amplify Partners, Nexus Venture Partners and Y Combinator. It says 1,000+ service businesses use it.
Avoca is not a self serve tool. There is no sign up button and no trial; you book a demo.
Pricing explained
Avoca publishes no prices, plans, minute counts or overage rates. Its site routes every buyer to a demo, and there is no pricing page. Here is every data point we could find, labeled by source:
| Data point | Source | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing set after a demo, no public price sheet | avoca.ai | Verified on vendor site |
| "Starts at $1,100 a month plus a $600 setup fee" | Upfirst, from quotes its customers shared | Third party, unverified |
| About $1,000 to $3,500 a month, scaling with call volume | ServiceAgent, a competitor | Third party estimate |
| $400 gift card for referring a qualifying demo | Avoca referral terms | Verified on vendor site |
Treat the third party numbers as a range to sanity check a quote, not as Avoca's price. Both come from competitors who sell against Avoca. For context, the closest published price in the same niche is Sameday AI at $449 a month for 500 minutes and $789 for 1,000.
What to ask on the demo, so you can compare the quote:
- Is billing per minute, per call, per location or per CSR seat replaced?
- What is included, and which products (Coach, Outbound, Speed to Lead, LSA) are separate?
- Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
- What is the contract length, and is there an out clause in the first 90 days?
- Are Human in the Loop CSR minutes included or billed on top?
Our Avoca pricing page models what a quote at those levels means per call, and the calculator compares it with a CSR salary.
Key features
Certified ServiceTitan app
Avoca is a certified ServiceTitan app and books jobs into ServiceTitan in real time during the conversation, updating the customer record as it goes. It also books into Housecall Pro and FieldRoutes. Avoca says it extracts 12+ CRM fields per call automatically.
Caller recognition
Before the caller speaks, Avoca pulls their history: past jobs, equipment, membership tier and lifetime value. That lets the AI greet a member by name, ask about the unit it serviced last spring, or route a high value customer differently.
Emergency routing
Avoca listens for urgent keywords and intent, such as no heat, AC out or a gas smell, and routes those calls straight to on call technicians. Urgent texts and calls are flagged for faster action. For trades that make their margin on after hours emergencies, this is the feature that pays for the product.
Human in the Loop CSRs
Avoca employs trained CSRs across North America who take escalated calls. Per Avoca, the AI handles 80 to 85 percent of inbound calls and the rest go to these CSRs with a warm transfer that includes who is calling, why, their address, account status and equipment. Avoca says transfers take under 3 seconds. CSRs train on Coach before they take live calls. Most AI receptionists hand off only to your own staff.
Coach and Analytics
Coach scores every call, human or AI, so a call center manager can QA the whole team in one place. Analytics centralizes booking rate, call volume and outcomes.
Google LSA, Speed to Lead and Outbound
Avoca answers Google Local Services Ads leads directly, responds to web leads in under 15 seconds, and runs multi channel outbound SMS and call drip campaigns.
Results Avoca reports
Avoca's homepage cites customers: H.L. Bowman says Avoca handles 70% of its call volume, an Aire Serv location says booking went from 55% to 90%, Granite Comfort grew revenue 20% year over year, and Wilson Companies says call quality went from 40% to 95% at about 400 calls a week. These are vendor selected case studies, not independent data.
What users say
We found no review listing for Avoca with 10 or more reviews that we could open. Trustpilot has no Avoca profile, and G2 and Capterra blocked our requests. That is common for a company that sells only through demos to mid market operators, but it means you are relying on Avoca's own case studies. Ask for two references in your trade and size, and call them.
Privacy and security
Avoca displays SOC 2 Type 2 certification. Its privacy policy says it does not sell personal data, shares data with service providers, Google services for calendars, authorities when legally required and possibly advertising and marketing partners, and keeps data only as long as needed, deleting calendar data within 30 days of disconnecting. The policy does not say whether call recordings are used to train AI models. Ask for a data processing agreement that covers recordings, retention and model training before you sign.

Alternatives
- Sameday AI: published pricing, certified ServiceTitan app, more field service integrations.

Verdict
On features, Avoca is the strongest AI receptionist for home service trades we compared: certified ServiceTitan booking, caller history, emergency routing and a real human backup team. It is built for established shops with call volume and CSR payroll to replace, and its funding and SOC 2 Type 2 make it a safe vendor bet. What holds the score back is value and transparency: no public price, no public review base and a demo first sale. Get the quote, compare it with Sameday's published plans, and ask for references. How much does Avoca AI cost?
Avoca does not publish pricing. Pricing is set after a demo. Competitor sites publish estimates from $1,000 to $3,500 a month, and Upfirst reports a quote of $1,100 a month plus a $600 setup fee shared by its customers; none of these are confirmed by Avoca. See our Avoca pricing page.
Does Avoca integrate with ServiceTitan?
Yes. Avoca has a certified ServiceTitan app and books jobs directly into ServiceTitan, and it also books into Housecall Pro and FieldRoutes. It pulls caller history such as past jobs, equipment and membership tier before the caller speaks.
Does Avoca use real people?
Yes. Avoca runs a Human in the Loop program of trained CSRs based across North America. Avoca says its AI handles 80 to 85% of inbound calls and escalates the rest to these CSRs with a warm transfer and full context.
Is Avoca good for small HVAC companies?

Does Avoca work with Jobber?
Jobber is not listed among Avoca's booking integrations as of October 2026. Avoca lists ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and FieldRoutes.
Is Avoca AI legit?
Yes. Avoca is backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech, General Catalyst and Y Combinator, raised $125M in total and announced a $1B valuation in April 2026. It shows SOC 2 Type 2 certification and says 1,000+ service businesses use it.
