Ecovacs' flagship replaces the X8 Pro Omni with a longer roller, a stain pre spray and a station that never needs a dust bag.

Fact checked against each company's published pricing, documentation and verified user ratings. How we score
The Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone is the pick for kitchens with dried on spills and for anyone tired of buying dust bags. FocusJet pre sprays a stain before its 10.6 inch roller scrubs at 4,000 Pa of pressure, and the OmniCyclone station is bagless. Ecovacs rates suction in air watts and skips runtime, so it is harder to compare on paper.

The X12S is the pick if you hate buying dust bags and fight dried kitchen stains: the station is bagless and FocusJet pre sprays a stain before the roller scrubs it. Ecovacs rates suction in air watts rather than Pa and does not publish runtime, so it is harder to compare on paper.

What it is
The X12S OmniCyclone is the current top of Ecovacs' X series in the US, above the X12 OmniCyclone, X11 OmniCyclone and X9 Pro Omni. It replaces the X8 Pro Omni, which Ecovacs' US page now lists as sold out. A sister model, the X12S Pro Omni, uses a bagged station.
What changed from the X8 Pro Omni: the X8 had 18,000 Pa, the original OZMO Roller with 200 RPM scrubbing, a 40 to 75°C temperature controlled mop wash, AIVI 3D 3.0 and a 6,400 mAh battery rated for up to 291 minutes in silent mode on hard floors. The X12S moves to OZMO Roller 3.0, adds FocusJet, goes bagless, washes up to 212°F and upgrades to AIVI 3D 4.0.
X12S specs from Ecovacs' store page:
- 53 AW BLAST suction with PowerBoost
- OZMO Roller 3.0: 10.6 inch roller (50% longer than the previous generation), 4,000 Pa downward pressure, 260 RPM, 32 nozzle pressurized self washing, microfiber roller that leaves about 67% less residual water
- Roller lifts 0.59 inches on carpet and a cover drops to block contact
- FocusJet stain pre dissolving spray
- ZeroTangle 4.0 airflow directed anti tangle main brush
- TruEdge 3.0 roller with a 1.02 inch extended reach for edges
- AIVI 3D 4.0 obstacle and edge handling, with cautious approach to pets, pet waste and wires
- 3.86 inch body, 3.0 inch drive wheels, 1.0 inch single and 2.0 inch double obstacle crossing
- OmniCyclone bagless station with PureCyclone 2.0, up to 212°F roller washing, airflow drying of the dustbin and air path, dirty water box auto cleaning
- AGENT YIKO 3.0 AI voice agent
Pricing explained
The X12S is sold on Amazon and Ecovacs' US store. We do not list robot prices; check the current price before you buy.
The bagless station is the cost story. Every other flagship here uses dust bags. Ecovacs says OmniCyclone saves up to 25 bags over five years. You still buy:
- Cleaning solution. Ecovacs sells heavy duty and quarterly kits for the X12 and X11 families.
- Roller mop and filter. Ecovacs sells antibacterial rollers and filters shared with the T90 and X9S.
Key features
OZMO Roller 3.0
A longer roller covers more floor per pass, and 4,000 Pa of downward pressure is a different unit from the N figures other brands use, so treat it as Ecovacs' own scale. The 32 nozzle rinse feeds fresh water to the roller continuously while a scraper removes dirty water.
FocusJet
The most practical feature on the robot for kitchens. It sprays, waits 15 to 30 seconds and then scrubs. You can trigger it for a heavily soiled area by voice or mark zones like pet paw prints in the app.
Bagless OmniCyclone station
No bags, a quick empty button, scheduled heating of the dirty water tank to cut odor and a self cleaning dirty water box.
Carpet and edges
The anti mite chamber and 130% thicker brush strips target carpet; Ecovacs cites up to 95.45% mite removal. TruEdge 3.0 extends the roller 1.02 inches to reach recessed baseboards.
Charging
PowerBoost Charging Plus uses a GaN power supply to add 13% battery in 3 minutes during mop washes. Ecovacs says the EV grade pouch battery lasts up to 1.6 times longer than conventional cells.
AGENT YIKO 3.0
An AI agent that builds and runs weekly cleaning plans from your voice preferences and helps with setup and troubleshooting.

The X12S is the only bagless option and the only one with a pre spray. eufy wins on published runtime, Narwal on bag life and noise.
Setup and upkeep
Place the station against a wall with clear space in front for the robot. Fill the clean water tank and add Ecovacs cleaning solution if you want auto dosing. The first run maps the home; AGENT YIKO can then build a weekly plan from voice preferences. Ongoing: empty the dirty water tank, press the quick empty button on the cyclone bin, and replace the roller and filter on the schedule the app shows.
What users say
The Amazon listing shows 4.5 out of 5 from 86 ratings in October 2026, the highest score in this group but on a small base. The X12S is new; check back as the count grows.
Privacy and security
AIVI 3D 4.0 uses a vision module, and AGENT YIKO uses large language models to plan cleaning. Ecovacs' store page does not list privacy certifications. Review voice and camera settings in the ECOVACS Home app and turn off what you do not use.
Who it is for
- Kitchens and dining areas with dried on spills
- People who do not want to buy dust bags
- Large homes that benefit from quick top up charging
- Voice first households who like an AI agent to plan cleaning
Who should skip it
- Buyers who compare robots on Pa and minutes; Ecovacs publishes neither for this model
- Low furniture homes: the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is 3.13 inches
- Homes with tall thresholds above 1 inch single steps
Alternatives
- eufy Omni E35: self cleaning roller and 180 minute runtime
- Narwal Flow 2: heated track mop and a 120 day bag
- Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow: Roborock's roller mop
- Ecovacs Deebot N30 Pro Omni: Ecovacs' budget Omni station
Verdict
The X12S OmniCyclone is the most kitchen focused robot here, with FocusJet and a long pressurized roller, and the only flagship with a bagless station. Buy it if stains and bag costs bother you more than spec sheet comparisons. If you want published Pa and runtime numbers, eufy and Roborock are easier to judge.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni discontinued?
Ecovacs' US product page lists the X8 Pro Omni as sold out. The current X series lineup is led by the X12S OmniCyclone, with the X12, X11 and X9 below it.
How strong is the Deebot X12S suction in Pa?
Ecovacs rates the X12S in air watts, 53 AW, not in Pa, so it cannot be compared directly with Roborock or Dreame Pa figures. Ecovacs says it is over 60% stronger than the previous generation.
What does OmniCyclone mean?
It is Ecovacs' bagless station. PureCyclone 2.0 auto empty technology separates dust without a bag, and Ecovacs says it saves up to 25 dust bags over five years.
What is FocusJet?
FocusJet sprays a cross pattern jet of water and cleaning solution onto a stain, lets it soak for about 15 to 30 seconds and then scrubs with the roller. You trigger it by voice through AGENT YIKO or by marking zones in the app.
Does the X12S lift its mop on carpet?
Yes. The roller lifts 0.59 in and a cover drops between the roller and the carpet so the wet roller never touches the fibers.
How long does the Deebot X12S run?
Ecovacs does not publish a runtime in minutes. PowerBoost Charging Plus restores 13% of the battery in 3 minutes during mop washes, which Ecovacs says allows continuous cleaning in standard mode.
Where can I buy the X12S?
On Amazon and Ecovacs' US store. We do not list robot prices; check the current price at either.
