Our top picks
Why people look for Deebot X12S alternatives
The X12S is Ecovacs' current flagship: an OZMO Roller 3.0 mop with 4,000 Pa of downward pressure and FocusJet stain pre spray, a bagless OmniCyclone station, up to 212°F roller washing and AIVI 3D 4.0 obstacle avoidance. It is rated 4.5 on Amazon from 86 ratings. Shoppers compare it because:
- Suction is in air watts. 53 AW cannot be compared with the Pa figures every other brand uses.
- No published runtime. Ecovacs lists PowerBoost top ups instead.
- It is tall. At 3.86 in it misses furniture the 3.13 to 3.14 inch flagships clean under.
- A small rating base. 86 Amazon ratings, against thousands on Roborock.

How to choose
Is bagless a must? Among mop robots in our guides, only the X12S is bagless, so keep it if you hate buying bags. Otherwise, the longest bag lives are Narwal (120 days) and Dreame (100).
Roller or pads? For kitchens, entryways and pets, a roller or track mop that rinses as it works (eufy E35, Curv 2 Flow, Narwal, Roomba) is the closest to the X12S. Pads (Saros 20, Dreame X60) are fine for lighter mopping and get you a slimmer robot.
Low furniture. Under 3.86 in of clearance, the X12S will not fit; the Saros 20 and Dreame X60 will.
Budget. The Deebot N30 Pro Omni keeps Ecovacs' app and a full washing and drying station at the N series tier.
What the FCC rule means
On July 28, 2026 the FCC added foreign produced robot vacuums to its Covered List. Consumer Reports says models already authorized, including the X12S and every alternative here, can still be sold and receive updates until January 1, 2029.
How we picked
We started from the flagships in our best robot vacuum and mop guide and the bagless and budget models in our best budget robot vacuums guide. Each pick had to beat the X12S on something its buyers care about: comparable suction figures, runtime, clearance, rating history, mop system or price tier. Specs come from each brand's page; we compared published facts and did not test the robots. See the full Deebot X12S review.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to the Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone?
The Roborock Saros 20 for most homes: 36,000 Pa, 300+ obstacle types, a 212°F wash and a 3.14 in body. If you want to keep a roller mop and get a published runtime, the eufy Omni E35 lists up to 180 minutes.
Are there other bagless robot vacuum and mop combos?
Not among the current flagships in our guides. The X12S's OmniCyclone station is the only bagless dock among them. Shark's Matrix Self-Empty is bagless too, but it does not mop.
How does 53 AW compare with Pa?
It does not convert. Ecovacs rates the X12S in air watts, a measure of airflow and suction combined, while Roborock, Dreame, eufy, iRobot and Narwal rate in pascals of pressure. Compare the X12S on its mop, dock and obstacle features rather than the suction figure.
What is the runtime of the Deebot X12S?
Ecovacs does not publish one. It says PowerBoost restores 13% of the battery in 3 minutes while the roller is being washed, which extends cleaning in large homes.
Is the X12S better than the X8 Pro Omni?
The X8 Pro Omni no longer has a live product page on Ecovacs' US store, and the X12S replaces it at the top of the range with a bagless station, FocusJet and the OZMO Roller 3.0.
Which alternative is best for dried kitchen stains?
The X12S itself is strong here with FocusJet pre spray. Among the alternatives, the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal finds stains with UV light, and the Narwal Flow 2 and Roomba Max 875 mop with heated water.
