What each plan includes
Free is the most generous free tier among the major assistants. You get Flash-Lite with image generation and editing, Deep Research, Gemini Live voice, Canvas and Gems, plus the standard 15 GB of Google storage.
AI Plus ($4.99) doubles Free usage on the Flash model and adds 200 Google Flow credits, video generation, Daily Brief, Gemini in Gmail and Vids and 400 GB of storage. Google's page also lists Gemini 4 Argon on this plan. It is available in 160+ countries.
AI Pro ($19.99) is the main plan. It runs Gemini 4 Argon plus Pro and Flash models at 4x Free usage, with 1,000 Flow credits, video and Daily Brief, the Jules coding agent, Google Antigravity access, Gemini Notebook with 5x Audio Overviews, Chrome auto browse, YouTube Premium Lite and 5 TB of storage.
AI Ultra ($99.99 or $199.99) gives the highest Pro and Flash access at 5x or 20x AI Pro usage, 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits, Project Genie, full YouTube Premium, advanced Google Home features and storage from 20 TB. Tasks in Gemini is listed in select countries.
Gemini Enterprise is a separate business product. Business edition, from $21 per seat, adds Gemini Notebook, Workspace and productivity connectors, Workflow Builder, prebuilt agents and central management, for up to 300 seats with a trial. Standard and Plus, from $30, add higher limits, custom agents, VPC Service Controls, customer managed encryption keys and sovereign data boundaries, with unlimited seats.
What the limits mean in practice
Google does not publish message counts. Limits are compute based multiples: AI Plus is 2x Free, AI Pro is 4x Free, and Ultra is 5x or 20x AI Pro. In practice, that means two things.
First, heavy sessions can pause you. A long Deep Research run or a burst of video generation uses more compute than a short chat, so your effective message count depends on what you ask for.
Second, Flow credits are the hard limit for video. 200 credits on AI Plus will cover a handful of experiments; 1,000 on AI Pro supports regular short videos; 10,000 to 25,000 on Ultra is built for people producing video weekly.
Hidden costs and fine print
- Storage is bundled, not optional. If you already pay for a Google One storage plan, moving to AI Pro replaces it, so the true added cost of the AI may be small.
- Ultra is billed monthly at $99.99 or $199.99. There is no middle tier between $19.99 and $99.99.
- Business is a different product. Gemini Enterprise seats do not include the consumer AI Pro perks such as YouTube Premium Lite or 5 TB.
- Prices are monthly. Google's page does not list annual pricing for the AI plans.

The storage effect is the key comparison. ChatGPT Plus at $20 includes 20 GB of storage inside ChatGPT. AI Pro at $19.99 includes 5 TB of Google storage across Gmail, Drive and Photos. For a household that would otherwise pay for large cloud storage, AI Pro is the cheapest way to get a frontier assistant.
