The short answer

These two get compared because both sell "AI agents for work," but they solve different problems.

Lindy is an assistant. You connect Gmail, your calendar, Slack, Zoom and a CRM, then ask it for things in plain language. It learns repeatable skills, runs routines on a schedule or a trigger, joins meetings as a visible notetaker and waits for approval before anything leaves the building. It is built for founders, executives and small teams.

Relevance AI is a builder. You make tools (step by step automations), give them to agents, then connect agents into workforces that hand work to each other. Its library is aimed at revenue teams: prospecting, enrichment, meeting prep, post call follow up, deal reviews and forecasting. It is built for teams that want several agents doing defined jobs at volume.

If the job is "take admin off my plate," choose Lindy. If the job is "run a pipeline of agents across the sales team," choose Relevance AI.

Relevance AI's public pricing page shows only Enterprise; the Pro and Team prices above come from its help center, which also explains how to upgrade to them in the app.

The units do not convert one to one. A Lindy credit measures how much work a task takes, so a short email summary might cost a few credits and a research report hundreds. A Relevance AI Action counts one tool run, no matter how many steps that tool has, and model usage is metered separately in Vendor Credits.

Worked comparisons:

  • One founder, light use. Relevance AI Pro at $29 monthly (or $19 annually) against Lindy at $49.99. Relevance AI is cheaper, but Lindy's price includes model usage, while Relevance AI's $20 in Vendor Credits may need topping up if you do not bring your own keys.
  • Five person sales team. Lindy is 5 seats times $49.99, or $249.95 a month for 25,000 pooled credits. Relevance AI Team is $349 for 7,000 Actions and up to 5 builders plus 45 end users. Lindy is cheaper for five people; Relevance AI gets cheaper per head as the team grows, since 20 Lindy seats cost at least $999.80.
  • Heavy month. Lindy top ups at $10 per 1,000 credits are the same rate as its entry tier. Relevance AI extra Actions at $0.08 each are about seven times the Pro plan rate of roughly $0.012, so running over is expensive on Relevance AI.

Agents. Relevance AI is the stronger platform for building several agents with defined roles and handing work between them. Lindy is the stronger product for one person or a small team that wants a capable assistant without designing anything.

Integrations. Relevance AI lists more apps and adds 1,000+ triggers. Lindy's 1,500+ cover the everyday stack (Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, Zendesk, Zoom), plus MCP and computer use for anything else.

Models. Relevance AI is more transparent: named model families and bring your own keys on every plan. Lindy lets you choose a model but keeps the cost inside credits.

Specific head to head scenarios

A founder drowning in email and meetings

Winner: Lindy. Inbox triage, reply drafts, scheduling, a daily briefing routine and a meeting notetaker work out of the box, with approval before sends. Relevance AI can be built to do parts of this, but you would be assembling tools for a job Lindy already does.

An SDR team running outbound at volume

Winner: Relevance AI. The outbound prospector, research and enricher and meeting scheduler agents map directly to the BDR workflow, and a workforce can qualify, enrich and route leads in sequence. One tool run is one Action however many steps it has, so a well built enrichment tool stays cheap per lead.

A five person team on a tight budget

Winner: Lindy. Five seats cost $249.95 a month with 25,000 pooled credits and model usage included. Relevance AI Pro caps you at 2 builders and 1 project, and Team jumps to $349.

A 30 person revenue team with defined agent roles

Winner: Relevance AI. Team covers 5 builders and 45 end users for $349 a month, against at least $1,499.70 a month for 30 Lindy seats. Enterprise adds asset level RBAC, audit logs to S3 and PII masking that a larger org will ask for.

A healthcare practice or other HIPAA buyer

Winner: Lindy. Lindy offers HIPAA with a signed BAA on Enterprise and publishes that neither it nor its model providers train on your data. We did not find a HIPAA offer or a training statement in Relevance AI's published pages.

A team that wants AI phone calls

Winner: Relevance AI. Calling agents are a built in agent type on Team and Enterprise. Lindy routines can place calls, but it is an assistant feature, not a calling agent platform. For high volume voice, also look at dedicated platforms in our best AI voice agents guide.

Privacy

Both list SOC 2 Type II and GDPR. Lindy adds PIPEDA, a HIPAA BAA on Enterprise, encryption in transit and at rest, and a clear statement that neither Lindy nor its model providers use your data for training. Approval gates on outside actions are on by default, which matters for an assistant with inbox access.

Relevance AI says project information is confidential even from Relevance AI. Its Enterprise plan has the deeper admin toolkit: SSO with Okta, Entra ID or Google Workspace, directory sync, RBAC down to asset level, audit logs streamed to your S3 bucket, retention policies, integration governance and visual PII masking. Lindy Enterprise has SSO, SCIM and audit logs.

Public reviews are thin or poor for both. Lindy scores 1.7 on Trustpilot from 40 reviews, mostly about cancellation, credit burn and failed tasks. Relevance AI has only 2 Trustpilot reviews (3.1), too few to rate.

Verdict

Choose Lindy if you want an assistant, not a build project. It is the faster route to handing off email, scheduling, meeting notes and CRM updates, it includes model costs in one price, and it has the clearer privacy and HIPAA story. Watch the per user billing and measure your credit burn during the free week.

Choose Relevance AI if you run a sales or go to market team and want specialist agents working together at volume. Workforces, a sales agent library, 2,000+ integrations and bring your own keys make it the better platform for that job, and it gets cheaper per head than Lindy as headcount grows. Plan for two meters and the jump to $349 for calling agents.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lindy or Relevance AI cheaper?

For one person, Relevance AI Pro is cheaper at $29 a month billed monthly or $19 billed annually, against Lindy's $49.99. For teams the gap flips the other way on headcount: Lindy charges $49.99 per active user, while Relevance AI bills per organization, so five builders fit Team at $349 against Lindy's $249.95 for five seats. Model costs also differ: Relevance AI adds Vendor Credits unless you bring your own keys.

Which is better for sales teams, Lindy or Relevance AI?

Relevance AI. It ships specialist sales agents such as an outbound prospector, research and enricher, meeting prepper, post call actioner and deal reviewer, and chains them into workforces. Lindy is better at an individual rep's inbox, calendar and meeting notes.

Which is easier to set up?

Lindy. You connect your tools and talk to it in Slack, iMessage or email, and it saves skills from plain language. Relevance AI asks you to build or configure tools, agents and workforces, which is more powerful but takes longer.

Do Lindy and Relevance AI have free plans?

Neither has a permanent free plan. Lindy gives $50 in credits for 7 days with no card. Relevance AI retired its Free plan for new and existing accounts, so the cheapest entry is Pro at $19 a month billed annually.

Can I bring my own model API keys?

On Relevance AI, yes, on every plan, which moves model costs off its Vendor Credits and onto your provider bill. Lindy lets you pick a model per task but bills that usage in its own credits.

Which is more secure, Lindy or Relevance AI?

Both list SOC 2 Type II and GDPR. Lindy states that neither it nor its model providers train on your data and offers HIPAA with a BAA on Enterprise. Relevance AI's Enterprise plan has deeper admin controls: RBAC at asset level, audit logs streamed to your S3 bucket, retention policies and PII masking.

Can Lindy build multi agent workflows like Relevance AI?

Not in the same way. Lindy runs as one teammate with many skills and routines. Relevance AI Workforces connect separate agents with AI handoffs or fixed next steps and routing rules, which suits pipelines like qualify, enrich and route.
