Fact checked against each company's published pricing, documentation and verified user ratings. How we score
Lindy is the best pick for founders and small teams who want an AI teammate that triages email, takes meeting notes, preps calls and updates the CRM without building workflows. It starts at $49.99 a month per user for 5,000 pooled credits. The tradeoff is credit billing that is hard to forecast and a 1.7 Trustpilot score driven by billing complaints.

Lindy is the fastest route to an AI assistant that clears your inbox, takes meeting notes and updates the CRM without building flows. The tradeoff is credit based billing starting at $49.99 a month, which is harder to predict than a flat seat price.

What it is
Lindy is an AI assistant that works inside your existing tools. You talk to it in Slack, over iMessage or SMS, by email, in a Chrome extension or in its own chat, and it acts across 1,500+ connected apps: it drafts replies in Gmail, books meetings on your calendar, joins Zoom calls to take notes, writes research reports and pushes updates into HubSpot or a support desk.
Lindy started as a no code agent builder and has moved toward a "teammate" product. Instead of drawing a flow on a canvas, you teach it skills (named playbooks), set routines (scheduled or event triggered jobs) and let it keep a plain text memory about your team. Anything with outside impact, such as sending an email, updating a ticket or posting to another channel, waits for your approval by default, according to its FAQ.
The homepage lists customers including Shopify, Apple, Adobe, McKinsey, NVIDIA, Airbnb and Retool, and shows a 4.9 star G2 badge. We could not open the G2 listing to confirm its review count, so that badge is not in our rating.
Pricing explained
Lindy sells one self serve plan, Team, priced by credits, plus a quote only Enterprise plan. Only monthly prices are listed; there is no annual discount on the pricing page.
| Plan | Price | Credits a month | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free trial | $0 | $50 in credits for 7 days | Full product, no card |
| Team | $49.99 per month and up | 5,000 to 1,750,000 | Shared credit pool, model choice, computer use, live onboarding |
| Enterprise | Quote only | Custom | HIPAA with BAA, SSO and SCIM, audit logs, dedicated support |
The Team plan has 14 credit tiers. As listed:
| Credits a month | Price a month | Cost per 1,000 credits |
|---|---|---|
| 5,000 | $49.99 | $10.00 |
| 8,000 | $79.99 | $10.00 |
| 15,000 | $99.99 | $6.67 |
| 20,000 | $149.99 | $7.50 |
| 35,000 | $199.99 | $5.71 |
| 70,000 | $399.98 | $5.71 |
| 175,000 | $999.95 | $5.71 |
| 1,750,000 | $9,999.50 | $5.71 |
Two rules shape the real bill. First, Lindy bills per person: "every active user in your workspace is billed, from $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits each," and everyone draws from one pool. Anyone who uses Lindy takes a seat, including a coworker who only @mentions it in Slack. Second, monthly credits reset each cycle and do not roll over, while top ups at $10 per 1,000 credits stay until used.
What a credit buys
Lindy publishes ranges rather than a per action rate: everyday asks (answers, summaries, lookups, reply drafts) use 2 to 250 credits, deep work (research reports, support queue triage, proposals) uses 250 to 1,000, and big builds (dashboards, decks, internal tools) use 1,000 to 2,500.
Worked examples, using the midpoint of each range as an assumption:
- A founder who asks for 15 inbox and calendar tasks a workday. At about 125 credits each, 15 tasks times 22 workdays is roughly 41,000 credits. That fits the 45,000 tier at $299.99, not the $49.99 entry tier. At 25 credits each it is about 8,250 credits: the 8,000 tier at $79.99 plus a $10 top up, or 15,000 credits for $99.99 with room to spare.
- A three person sales team. Three seats start at $149.97 a month for 15,000 pooled credits. Ten research reports at 625 credits each use 6,250, leaving about 8,750 for daily asks.
- Running dry mid month. Topping up 5,000 credits costs $50. Moving from 5,000 to 15,000 credits costs $50 more a month and triples the pool, so upgrading the tier beats repeated top ups.
The lesson: the entry price is $49.99, but a heavy user lands closer to $100 to $300 a month. Use the trial's $50 in credits (5,000 credits at the $10 rate) to measure your own burn before you commit. Key features
Skills
A skill is a named set of instructions for a procedure you repeat, such as "qualify an inbound lead" or "prep me for a board meeting." You can describe the process in chat and Lindy saves it, write it on the Skills page, or record a walkthrough with Watch and Learn. Skills can be personal, shared with the team by admins, or installed from Lindy's built in library of 40+.
Routines
Routines are recurring jobs on a schedule (daily, weekly or monthly) or an event trigger (a new email, a Slack message, a calendar event or a finished meeting). Lindy ships eight built in routines, including a daily briefing, email drafting, meeting prep and follow up reminders. A "Run this as a script" option converts simple routine logic to Python so it runs without repeated AI calls, which saves credits on monitoring jobs. Dry runs test a routine against real data without sending anything.
Meeting notes
Lindy's notetaker joins Google Meet, Zoom and Teams as a visible named participant and produces a recording, transcript and summary with action items. Meetings can be private, shared with specific people or shared with the whole team, and folders can fill themselves with rules like "any sales call." Each meeting has its own chat for follow up questions.
Inbox and calendar
Email triage, reply drafting and scheduling are the core use case. Lindy works in Gmail and other connected inboxes, proposes times and books meetings, with sends held for approval unless you change that.
Integrations, MCP and computer use
The 1,500+ integrations include Slack, Gmail, Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, GitHub, Linear, Zendesk, Intercom and Zoom. MCP servers cover tools that lack a connector, and computer use lets Lindy operate a browser for sites with no API, at a higher credit cost.
Model choice and memory
You can pick the model for each task; Lindy says most major models are available but does not publish a list per plan. Memory is stored as editable plain text files, so you can see and correct what Lindy believes about your team.
Channels
Slack, iMessage and SMS, email, a Chrome extension and the web app. Microsoft Teams as a chat channel is listed as coming soon in Lindy's docs (Teams meetings are already supported by the notetaker).
Where it falls short: there is no visual flow editor for deterministic, step by step automations, no self hosting, and no published credit cost per action, so you cannot price a workload before running it.
What users say
Public reviews are the weakest part of Lindy's profile. On Trustpilot, Lindy scores 1.7 out of 5 from 40 reviews, with 78% one star and 7% five star, and reviews spanning late 2025 to mid 2026.
Recurring complaints:
- Cancellation and billing. Several reviewers say they could not find a cancel button in billing settings and report charges after they tried to cancel.
- Credit burn. One reviewer describes using a month of credits in a day after the trial ended; others say the trial felt unlimited and the paid plan did not.
- Reliability. Reports of failed tasks, wrong calendar entries, misdirected emails and hallucinated output.
- Support. Lindy replies to about 21% of negative reviews, and reviewers describe the replies as unhelpful.
Recurring praise, mostly in the few positive reviews and on the vendor's own testimonials, centers on how quickly Lindy takes over email and meeting admin. Read the Trustpilot pattern as a warning about billing hygiene more than about the core product: set seat counts deliberately and watch the credit meter in week one.
Privacy and security
According to Lindy's security page, it holds SOC 2 Type II (audited by Johanson Group), GDPR and PIPEDA compliance, with HIPAA controls and a signed BAA available on Enterprise. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and Lindy states that neither it nor its model providers use your data to train AI models. Data deletion, access requests and residency requirements are supported, and a trust center at trust.lindy.ai holds the SOC 2 report.
Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM provisioning and audit logs. Approval gates on outside actions are on by default, which matters for an agent with access to your inbox. The meeting notetaker joins visibly, but you are still responsible for telling participants they are recorded where local law requires it.
Who it is for
- Founders and executives who live in email, calendar and meetings and want an assistant, not a project.
- Small sales and customer teams that want call notes, follow ups and CRM updates handled in Slack.
- Teams already on Slack who want to @mention an assistant in channels.
- Buyers who need SOC 2 Type II and a HIPAA BAA path without an enterprise platform.
Who should skip it
- Anyone who needs a predictable bill. Credit use varies by task and model. Zapier tasks or n8n executions are easier to forecast.
- Builders of deterministic, high volume workflows. n8n or Make will run the same flow for a fraction of the cost.
- Large teams of light users. Every active user is a $49.99 seat, so 20 occasional users cost at least $999.80 a month.
- Sales orgs that want a library of specialist agents and multi agent workforces. Look at Relevance AI; see our Lindy vs Relevance AI comparison.
- Teams that need self hosting. Lindy is cloud only.

Verdict
Lindy is the quickest way to hand email, meetings, scheduling and CRM upkeep to an AI teammate. Skills, routines, approval gates and a visible notetaker are well designed, and SOC 2 Type II with a no training pledge covers the basics for a small business.
The catch is money. The $49.99 entry price is per user, credit use per task is only published as wide ranges, and the Trustpilot record is full of billing and cancellation complaints. Start on the free week, measure your credit burn, buy the tier that fits rather than living on top ups, and put your renewal date on the calendar.

How much does Lindy cost?
Lindy's Team plan starts at $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits. Every active user in the workspace is billed from $49.99 a month, and all credits go into one shared pool. Larger credit tiers run up to 1,750,000 credits for $9,999.50 a month, and extra credits cost $10 per 1,000. Enterprise is quote only.
Is Lindy AI free?
Not permanently. New accounts get $50 in free credits that last 7 days, with no credit card required. After that you need a paid seat. Teammates added through Slack get their own one time 7 day trial before billing starts.
How many credits does a Lindy task use?
Lindy's pricing page groups work into three bands: everyday asks such as answers, summaries and reply drafts use 2 to 250 credits; deep work such as research reports or support queue triage uses 250 to 1,000; big builds such as dashboards, decks and internal tools use 1,000 to 2,500. The model you pick and the size of the inputs move the number within each band.
What happens when I run out of Lindy credits?
According to Lindy's FAQ, nothing breaks and there is no surprise bill. Credit using actions pause until your credits reset at the start of the next billing cycle, or you can buy a top up at $10 per 1,000 credits. Monthly credits do not roll over; top up credits stay until you use them.
Is Lindy AI legit?
Yes, it is a real product with SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and PIPEDA compliance listed and logos such as Shopify, NVIDIA and Airbnb on its homepage. Its Trustpilot score is poor, though: 1.7 from 40 reviews, with most complaints about cancellation, credit burn and failed tasks. Run the free week on real work before you pay.
Does Lindy train AI models on my data?
No. Lindy's security page says Lindy and its model providers do not use your data to train AI models, and that data is encrypted in transit and at rest and never sold. HIPAA coverage with a signed BAA requires the Enterprise plan.
How do I cancel Lindy?
Lindy's FAQ says your workspace stays active through the cycle you have paid for, with no mid cycle proration or refunds when you remove a seat. Several Trustpilot reviewers say they could not find a cancel button in billing settings, so remove unused seats and confirm cancellation in writing before your renewal date.
Is Lindy better than Zapier?
For a personal assistant that handles email, meetings and follow ups with no flow building, Lindy is faster to get value from. For fixed, high volume automations across many apps, Zapier is more predictable: tasks are easier to count than credits, and it connects 9,000+ apps.
