Free gives search with accurate answers and inline citations, basic AI models and limited daily usage. It is good for simple questions.
Pro ($17 billed annually) adds expanded Computer access with 4,000 bonus credits, Deep Research, preferred model selection, document and app creation, enhanced usage limits and memory, and access to top models. Perplexity's help center adds many more citations per answer, more file and photo uploads, enhanced image and limited video generation and high volume daily Pro Search. Max ($167 billed annually) gives maximum Computer usage, 10,000 monthly credits plus 35,000 bonus credits, expert level research, frontier models, the highest usage limits and memory, video generation, Model Council and priority access to new features.
Enterprise Pro ($34) adds 500 Computer credits per seat, no training on your data, SSO and compliance with SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA, per our record. Enterprise Max ($271) adds 15,000 credits per seat, SCIM, audit logs and retention settings.
What the limits mean in practice
Perplexity has two kinds of limits. Searches, Pro Search and Deep Research run on plan usage limits, which are not published as exact counts on the pricing page. Computer tasks spend credits.
The key detail is that Pro's 4,000 credits are a bonus, not a monthly refill. Once they are gone, Computer use is limited until you buy more or move to Max. Max is the only individual plan with monthly credits. Trustpilot reviewers frequently report credits running out mid month on Computer mode, so treat credits as the real constraint if you plan to use agents.
