Best Roborock Saros Z70 Alternatives of 2026
Eight robot vacuums for people who like the Saros Z70's cleaning but not its arm, ranked on published specs from each brand's product page.
By , research by the BestBots team · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Fact checked against each company's published pricing, documentation and verified user ratings. How we score
The best Roborock Saros Z70 alternative is the Roborock Saros 20: the same 3.14 inch body and app, with 36,000 Pa suction, 300+ obstacle types, 212°F mop washing and Matter today. You lose only the arm. For lower furniture, pick the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, and for a self rinsing roller mop, the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow.
Our top picks
Why people look for Saros Z70 alternatives
The Saros Z70 is the only mainstream robot vacuum with a folding five axis arm, OmniGrip, that lifts socks, slippers and tissues up to 300 g out of the way before it cleans. It is a strong robot underneath: 22,000 Pa, 176°F mop washing, a 60 day dust bag and a 3.14 inch body. Buyers still look elsewhere for four reasons:
- The arm costs coverage. Roborock's FAQ says the robot covers about 180 square meters per charge with the arm off and about 150 when it tidies around 10 items.
- Fewer obstacle types than newer flagships. The Z70 recognizes 108 types. The Saros 20 and Roomba Max 875 list 300+.
- Matter is still a promise. Roborock says it will come by an over the air update.
- You may not need it. If you pick up before the robot runs, you pay for hardware you will not use.
If any of those apply, every robot below cleans at least as well on paper.

How to choose
Do you need the arm? Be strict. If the floor is clear before the robot runs, the arm adds nothing, and the Saros 20 gives you more of everything else.
How low is your furniture? Measure the gap under your sofa and beds. The Z70, Saros 20 and Dreame X60 are all around 3.13 to 3.14 in. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow (4.7 in) and Ecovacs X12S (3.86 in) will not reach as far.
Roller or pads? The Z70, Saros 20 and Dreame X60 use spinning pads that are rinsed at the dock. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, eufy Omni E35, Roomba Max 875 and Ecovacs X12S use a roller, and Narwal a track mop, that is cleaned while it mops. Rollers keep dirty water off the floor between dock visits; pads reach edges well when they extend.
Bags or no bags? The Ecovacs X12S is the only bagless flagship here. Everyone else uses sealed bags, which are cleaner to empty but are a running cost.
Brand stability. iRobot's Chapter 11 and takeover by Picea in 2025 matter for long term parts and app support. Roborock, Dreame, eufy, Narwal, Ecovacs and Shark have no comparable event in our records.
What the FCC rule means for these robots
On July 28, 2026 the FCC added foreign produced robot vacuums to its Covered List. Consumer Reports explains that models already authorized, which includes every robot here, can still be sold and used, and can keep getting updates until January 1, 2029. See our best robot vacuums guide for the details.
How we picked
We started from the robots that reviewers and shoppers compare with the Saros Z70: the Saros 20 and earlier Saros models, Dreame's X series and the other flagships in our best robot vacuum and mop ranking. We kept only current models with a live product page in October 2026 and ranked them on what a Z70 shopper values: suction, obstacle recognition, mop washing, clearance and dock automation. Specs come from the brands' own pages; we did not test the robots. Read the full Saros Z70 review for the arm in detail.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to the Roborock Saros Z70?
The Roborock Saros 20. It keeps the Z70's 3.14 in body and Roborock app but lists 36,000 Pa suction, 300+ obstacle types, 212°F mop washing and Matter support at launch. You give up only the OmniGrip arm.
Is the Saros 20 better than the Saros Z70?
On cleaning specs, yes: more suction, nearly three times the recognized obstacle types and a hotter mop wash. The Z70 is better only if you want the arm to tidy socks and small items up to 300 g before it cleans.
Is the Saros Z70 robotic arm worth it?
Only if your floors are often covered in light clutter and you would rather the robot clear it than you. Roborock's FAQ says coverage per charge drops from about 180 to about 150 square meters when the arm tidies around 10 items. If you pick up before cleaning anyway, buy a robot without the arm.
Are there other robot vacuums with an arm?
Not among the mainstream models we compare. The Saros Z70 is the only robot vacuum in our guides with a folding arm that picks things up. Every other pick here avoids clutter with cameras instead of moving it.
Which Saros Z70 alternative is best for pet hair?
The eufy Omni E35 or the Roomba Max 875. eufy rates its DuoSpiral brushes for hair up to 50 cm and lists 280+ object types, and the Roomba adds a carpet sealing skirt. See our guide to the best robot vacuum for pet hair for the full ranking.
Why does BestBots not list robot vacuum prices?
These robots are sold through Amazon and brand stores, and prices change daily and by seller. We link to the exact product page so you see the current price there.
